After School Activities

Extracurricular athletic activities are offered to the students in grades 5 to 8 and are contingent upon academic eligibility and behavior appropriateness.  The athletic programs include Girls Volleyball in the fall, Basketball for both boys and girls during the winter, and Boys Volleyball in the spring. Cheerleading is also offered for girls in grades 4 to 8.

A band program is offered to students in Grades 4 to 8 through Music Education. Band instruction is provided for students in grade 4 (Beginner) during the school day in lieu of Music class. All other band instruction is provided directly after school.  Parents contract with Music Education for the instructional fee and other materials associated with band membership. Band may only be dropped at the end of a trimester. We strongly encourage first year band students to a full year commitment.

Chess Club is offered to students in Grades K to 8 through Bright Knights for a fee. This program runs after school on Tuesdays immediately following school dismissal. Students are engaged in learning chess and participate in local chess tournaments.

Drama Club is offered by Mrs. Hinsdale to students in Grades 6 to 8. This club encourages participation in the fine arts and for students to share these special talents. Each year, the Drama Club performs a play for the entire student body during Catholic Schools Week.

Servant Leadership Club is offered to 7th and 8th Grade students to foster, develop, and promote the values of true leadership while nurturing the belief that gifts and talents are to be used to serve others and live as disciples of Christ.  This club will provide a place for school, parish, and community members to come and seek student help whenever needed while helping students understand that the call to serve is at the heart of Christian life. Servant leadership begins with the desire to first serve, then lead.
