Spring has sprung both outside and inside the classroom! The first graders have been busy learning all about plants and butterflies in science. In math, we have learned to count money and tell time. We enjoyed using our manipulatives to strengthen our skills! In reading we are finishing Unit 4 about finding treasures and will be reading all about Great Ideas in Unit 5. We will also take a week to read many different fairy tales, to write a friendly letter to the big bad wolf, and to write our very own modern fairy tale.
