Bridget Garrett joined the St. Mary staff in the fall of 2016. She grew up in New Lenox and played an active role in her parish’s youth ministry program where she met her husband, Matt. They are extremely proud of their two children and love to watch them play hockey for Providence Catholic High School and the Team Illinois. Mrs. Garrett earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Southern Illinois University and a Master of Arts in Special Education from Governors State University. She began teaching in 1997 when she taught junior high reading and writing in Central Illinois. She returned to her hometown in 2000 and taught language arts for over a decade in the New Lenox School District. She also spent two years as the special education resource teacher gaining valuable knowledge about the individual needs of all students. Mrs. Garrett is thrilled to be a part of the St. Mary family, her home parish.
